The transfer-excursion to harbour Pula , is a unique experienceon the other hand, this excursion offers you beautiful views to the Brijuni National Park. We are passing through 2 of the total 14 islands of the national park, after which we enter in the bay of the port of Pula. The Gulf of Pula encompasses the sea area located east of the line connecting Cape Proština in the north and Cape Kumpar in the south (Pula Gate). Pula, the largest Istrian city (62,378 m.), is located on the shores of the bay. As the Port of Pula occupies the entire area of the Pula Bay, these toponyms are used in an almost identical meaning. The port of Pula is divided into the islands of Sv. Katarina and St. Andrija to the outer (western) and inner (eastern) ports. After entering the port, you will reach the islet of Sv. Andrija, which you can sail around either from the north or south side. After passing, the lighthouse on the island of Uljanik becomes visible. Due to the size of the built-up shores within the bay and its equipment, Pula is the largest and most important port in Istria, and the well-protected Pula Bay is one of the best natural ports on the Adriatic. Due to its size, prominent position, two approaches (directly from the sea and through the Fažana Canal), low shores and easy fortification, the Gulf of Pula has always had a prominent strategic significance. Because of its characteristics, the Pula Bay was chosen as the main port of the Austro-Hungarian Navy. The largest part of the Gulf of Pula has been preserved in an almost natural (non-urbanized) form due to the fact that for more than a hundred years it served as a military base for the navies of numerous states that governed this area.
